It's Oregon Goes To College Month!

For the sixth year in a row, Oregon 12th graders are focused on applying for college and financial aid during the month of November. Oregon College Application Week and College Cash Campaign events will be held at 120 high schools across the state, with the potential to reach more than 20,000 students. The goal: to support seniors in completing applications for postsecondary education or training and financial aid with the support of caring adults during the school day.

We are excited to announce the launch of the It's A Plan mobile app, created in collaboration with Portland's eBay office. Complementing the Oregon Goes To College 12th Grade Checklist, the app helps seniors apply, pay and go to college in 10 key steps. Students can stay on track with our checklist and store the information they need, including a secure area for passwords and social security numbers.

College Application Week continues to grow and in its fourth year saw its biggest participation yet with more sites across the state hosting dedicated events to support seniors in applying to postsecondary education throughout the month of November. Oregon Goes To College Featured on Spanish Language TV

Oregon Goes To College and our It's A Plan checklists were featured on Prisma Comm. TV, a local Spanish-language television station on September 23. Araceli Cruz, assistant director of Financial Aid at Lewis & Clark College, served as the translator for the family checklists and shared the resources available for Spanish-speakers including weekly text messages for parents of seniors in high school.
